Kamya is from Eagan, MN and is passionate about helping others in her future. She is a prospective math major, biochemistry minor, with hopes to become a pediatric surgeon. In her free time she likes to play rugby, train in martial arts, watch true crime, hang out with friends, and eat chocolate.
Maya Davis '23
Maya is passionate about studying genetics in order to improve people's health. She is a proud New Hampshirite and hopes to put her passion for genetics to use by becoming a genetic counselor. When she isn't studying biology, she enjoys hiking, going to the beach, exploring Boston, playing boardgames with friends, and eating chocolate ice cream.
Jivonsha Ffrench '24
Jivonsha is from Bronx, New York but grew up in Portmore, Jamaica. She enjoys trying new starbucks items and learning to make Jamaican food. She enjoys working worh Manduca caterpillars and gene expression. She spends her time outside the lab sewing, doing makeup and painting.
Isabelle Flessas '24
Isabel is a Massachusetts native who has a variety of biological interests, including genetics, entomology, and immunology. She hopes to either become a doctor or a researcher someday. In her free time, she enjoys taking care of animals (such as her pet gerbils), biking around the greater Boston area, and hiking.
Paula Gonzalez '24
Paula lives in Houston, Texas and her family is originally from Colombia. She is on the pre-medicine track and is a chemistry major and women and gender studies minor. She is an HHMI Intern for the chemistry department, works for the PLTC as a tutor, and works on the science center's social media team. She wants to pursue either an MD/PhD or MD/MPH program because she is passionate about public health, specifically women and gender health. In her free time, she loves to be outside, eat good food with friends, and go off campus into Boston.

Reika is from Guilford, CT, and is a prospective biology major on the premed track. She is a part of the soccer team and also enjoys playing the violin in the Brandeis Wellesley Orchestra. In her free time, she likes to discover new places to eat, spend time with friends, and do anything involving the outdoors!
Hesper Khong '23
Hesper grew up in California but moved to Texas a few years ago. As you can tell ~autumn~ in Massachusetts (and basically any weather outside of humid and/or scorching heat) was a very pleasant surprise for her. Some of their favorite pastimes include reading, painting, listening to poetry and podcasts, and exploring ethereal places in nature (like the riverbank at Wellesley with willow trees and frogs)!
Karen Mueller '23
Karen is from Lake Tahoe, NV and is interested in the biology of regeneration and metamorphosis. She enjoys taking care of her dogs, reading and skiing. She is currently investigating the genetic regulators of juvenile hormone in Tribolium and hopes to continue into a career of developmental biology research.
Hana Nagata '24
Hana is from Tokyo, Japan and she is a biology major and a computer science minor. She is hoping to pursue a research career in the future but would ultimately like to become an educator one day. Aside from working in the lab, she is currently working as a tutor for the CS department and volunteering for Sci-MI (an NPO that provides free research mentorship to hig school students who may be underrepresented in the STEM field) as a curriculum developer. In her free time, Hana likes to listen to music and to draw!

Yui loves insects and is fascinated by the phenotypic diversity of insects. Yui grew up in several different countries and enjoys exploring new places. His hobbies include cycling, skiing, running and taking photos of insects.

Carina is from Orange County, California but grew up in Yunnan, China. She is a prospective biology major, sociology minor. When not in the lab or working in the Wellesley Children's Center, she enjoys reading, listening to true crime podcasts, cooking, and exploring the city with friends.
Nabeela Zoss '23
Growing up in Southern California, Nabeela enjoys stomping around in the New England snow in the winters, and poking at wacky bugs in the summer. Besides being a biology major and working in the Suzuki lab, Nabeela enjoys performing with Yanvalou-- Wellesley's folkloric dance and drum ensemble of the African diaspora-- and playing the harp for hobby. Other spare time is spent studying Western esoterica, admiring the little things, and living it up with cherished friends at Wellesley and MIT.
