About Brett Danaher
I am an assistant professor of Economics at Wellesley College. As a researcher, my interests center
around how new technologies transform the economic principles underlying existing industries. My
current focus is on the digitization of the media industries, although I am generally interested in the
economics of all information goods.
I regularly attend and present my work at several conferences for economists who study information
systems and information goods, including the Workshop on Information Systems and Economics
(www.wiseconf.org), and the NBER Workshop on the Economics of Digitization. I am also a member of
the Society for Economic Research on Copyright Issues (www.serci.org).
Welcome to my homepage, where you can find information about my published research, my latest
working papers and works in progress, courses I teach, and anything generally interesting that I’ve
noticed going on recently in the industries I study.
