Field of interest: analysis
Ms. Sontag's research interests are in complex analysis, especially
quasiconformal mappings (mappings of bounded distortion) and
geometric aspects of complex function theory, but she is also
interested in real analysis, especially those topics that are
accessible to undergraduates. She devotes much of her spare time to
music and claims that being a mathematician makes it easier to do
music.
