I was invited to Tangshan in July 2006 for an exhibition of photographs of the city that I had taken in March 1972. My photos were among the very few surviving color pictures of Tangshan taken in the years just before the Great Earthquake of July 1976. This video was made by a crew from China Central Television to be shown on the program "Society in the News" as part of the commemoration of the 30th anniversary of the earthquake. For various reasons, it was never aired on CCTV.
