I received my Ph.D. from Radcliffe in the Department of Social Relations, one of the first interdisciplinary programs in the social sciences. Much broader in scope than most contemporaneous psychology graduate programs, the curriculum required course work in clinical psychology, social psychology, anthropology, and sociology. Most recently I have become interested in the relations between psychology and fiction, and between psychology and memoir. At Wellesley I have taught a variety of courses, including social psychology, research methods, statistics, and introductory psychology. Recently, my major research interests have concentrated on cognitive development during the college years.
