Correspondence of Estelle Hurll, class of 1882, dating from August 6, 1877 to March, 1923, (eight letters from 1881 to 1889 are only fragments); consisting of letters written to her family dealing with student life, academics, and experiences as a member of the faculty at Wellesley; including descriptions of Baker's Grotto, scarlet fever outbreak, poem about her father, Miss Howard as Bible Study teacher, visit to college by Governor Long, spring (1881) events (Tree Day, Fete-Day, dedication of Music Building, lack of commencement exercises), work as assistant to Miss Morgan (Philosophy Department, 1878 to 1886), visit of Hawaiian Queen to college, visit of French comedian, Mssr. Jean Coqueline to college, decision to resign from position at Wellesley to become full professor and head of the Philosophy Department at Mt. Holyoke College, memorandum on the use of her letters.
