Papers of John McAndrew; dating from 1938 to ; consisting of biographical information, correspondence, lecture materials and programs, newspaper clippings, magazine articles, book reviews, publications, photographs, notes, diplomas, awards, medals and certificates; concerning Mr. McAndrew's teaching career at Vassar and Wellesley ,work in museums (especially the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Wellesley College Museum), his activities in promoting the preservation of important architecture and art (especially The Save Venice Committee), his gifts to museums, and his publications including the manuscript of Venetian Architecture of the Early Renaissance. Photographs of Mr. McAndrew were placed in the photographic file.

A duplicate set of the notes and bibliography on Venetian Architecture are located at the Correr Library in Venice. 2000 photos of Venetian monuments relating to the 16th century were given to the acting superintendent of monuments, Mario Piana, Venice. Mr. McAndrew's books on Venice were given to the Ateneo in Venice.

Mr McAndrew's photographs of open-air churches in 16th century Mexico were given to the University of Texas at Austin.
