Project #2: Ecology of Place |
|
|
|
|
|
Objective: To create an outdoor or indoor video projection that engages with the natural enviroment. You can address themes related to the implications of climate change across the planet and its effects on human communities, biodiversity, and the wilderness. Or you can simply use thenatural enviroment as a prop for your installation. This project is in collaboration with The Paulson of Place Intiative and they have generously funded technology and events related to this assignemnt.
Turn-in:
• A completed installation of your piece to be temporarily installed on campus.
• Please turn in your .mov file, as well as a jpg still to the location designated by Prof. Olsen.
• Be sure to name your files: "lastname_firstname_projectname".mov, "lastname_firstname_projectname".jpg |

Assignment Details:
- What to do:
- Storyboard and plan the shots you will need to create your piece
- Create a blueprint of your installation and what equipment you will need
- For full credit, the piece should:
• loop
• installed and functional on the due date
- Tips:
• Be sure to start early so you can bring your questions and problems to office hours.
• Take the time to learn the keyboard shortcuts.
• Last but not least - save EARLY and save OFTEN!
