Assignment 2

(Due September 27)


 By September 27 , you should have located two legal sources that relate to your topic. These sources should either be cases or articles from law reviews. A search of Lexis Nexis Academic or Cornell's Legal Information Institute should provide these two sources.

You should also locate two economic articles that relate to your topic. These articles should contain economic analyses of legal topics. A search of EconLit  or browsing recent issues of the following law & economics journals should provide these two articles.

You may also find useful economic citations in the NBER working papers.

Enter summary information about the articles in a literature survey table. The table should be designed to summarize information that you might need about the article. Click here for a sample literature survey table. You will tun in your literature survey table with your final presentation. The literature survey table is an organizational device to allow you to keep track of the material you read for your Final Presentation. It should demonstrate the extent of your reading and your careful analysis of the material you read. You should revise the format of the table to make it useful as a tool for you and to properly reflect the work you are doing.

 Enter the four items in a list of references. You will turn in a list
of references with your Final Presentation. Click here to see a sample 
list of references. Most items in the list of references (e.g., 
books, articles) should be in APA or MLA style. References to such things as legislation & law cases should be in standard legal 
citation format. Click here to go to a cite that explains and gives examples of standard legal 
citation.
