Psych Club
All psychology, neuroscience, and cognitive and linguistic sciences majors and minors are automatically members of the Psych Club. Its purpose is to promote interest in Psychology and related fields and to sponsor and co-sponsor events such as lectures, panels, films, and parties. Information is posted on the Psych Club conference.

Psi Chi

Psi Chi is the National Honor Society in Psychology, founded in 1929 for the purpose of encouraging, stimulating, and maintaining excellence in scholarship and advancing the science of psychology. Psi Chi is a member of the Association of College Honor Societies (ACHS) and is an affiliate of the American Psychological Association (APA) and the American Psychological Society (APS).

Psi Chi functions as a federation of chapters located at more than 890 senior colleges and universities. A National Council, composed of psychologists who are Psi Chi members and who are elected by the chapters, guides the affairs of the organization and sets policy with the approval of the chapters.

Membership is open to Wellesley Psychology majors and minors who meet the following minimum qualifications:

  • Psychology majors and minors must have taken five courses in psychology at Wellesley College. The grade point average for the Wellesley courses in psychology, above the 100-level, must be 3.5 or above.

Eligible students will be contacted by the Psi Chi advisor (Linda Carli) and invited to become members. There is a one-time fee of $45.00 to register as a member. Membership is for life. Further information about how to apply can be found at the organization's website.
